Mr. Wong - The Supporting Orchid Pot (Orchideentöpfe)
Mr. Wong ist ein Orchideentopf mit einem integrierten, rechteckigen Rahmen aus gebogenen Messing-, Kupfer- oder Silberstangen. Dieser Rahmen hat zwei Funktionen: Innerhalb des Topfes trägt und hält er den Pflanzentopf. So fließt überflüssiges Gießwasser ab, denn Orchideen vertragen keine Staunässe. Der obere Teil des Metall-rahmens stützt die zarten, filigranen Blütentriebe. Der Rahmen ist außerdem stufenlos arretierbar, was ein Kippen des Rahmens verhindert und das Platzieren des Pflanzentopfes im Keramikgefäß erleichtert.
Die Keramiktöpfe gibt es in vier Größen, für die handelsüblichen Plastiktöpfe mit den Durchmessern 11,5 cm, 9 cm, 10 cm. 7 cm und 5,5 cm. Die Höhen sind variabel.
Mr. Wong is a pot designed especially for orchids with a built-in rectangular frame made of brass, copper or silver bars. This frame has two functions. It supports and holds the plant pot within the pot to ensure that any extra water drains away, since orchids cannot tolerate waterlogging. The upper part of the metal frame, meanwhile, supports the delicate plant shoots. The frame can also be locked in an infinitely variable manner, which prevents the frame from toppling over and makes it easier to place the plant pot into the ceramic pot.
There are four sizes for the standard plastic pots with diameters of 11,5 cm, 10 cm, 9 cm, 7 cm and 5,5 cm. The heights are variable.
